Where Montessori Meets Nature.
Blending Montessori wisdom with the natural world.
Wildflowers is an eco-conscious Montessori nursery that nurtures the natural curiosity and independence of young children. Rooted in the Montessori philosophy, we believe that blending Montessori education with an eco-conscious approach is the way forward in raising mindful, capable, and environmentally aware individuals. At Wildflowers, we integrate sustainable practices into our daily routines, teaching children the importance of caring for the Earth while developing essential life skills. Our learning spaces are designed to inspire discovery, creativity, and collaboration, creating a holistic environment where each child can grow at their own pace. Together, we cultivate a lifelong love of learning and a deep respect for the natural world.
Safeguarding at Wildflowers Montessori
At Wildflowers Montessori, the safety and well-being of every child in our care is our highest priority. We are committed to creating a secure, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued, and respected.
Our dedicated team follows robust safeguarding policies and procedures to protect children from harm. All staff members undergo rigorous background checks, receive regular safeguarding training, and work together to maintain a vigilant and proactive approach to child protection.
Our safeguarding practices are informed by the Guide to Inter-agency Working to Safeguard and Promote the Welfare of Children, "Working Together", in accordance with the Children Act 2004 and the Children Act 1989. We adhere to national safeguarding guidance of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, as well as local safeguarding procedures set by the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Board (OSCB).
We work in partnership with local agencies, including social care services, health professionals, and law enforcement, to ensure swift and effective intervention when concerns arise. Our team remains up to date with regular training provided by the OSCB ensuring that we follow best practices for reporting, responding to, and preventing safeguarding issues as guidance evolves.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Ana Crespan Buj, the Nursery Manager. Ana is responsible for overseeing all safeguarding matters, supporting staff in identifying and addressing concerns, and ensuring that safeguarding policies are effectively implemented.
At Wildflowers Montessori, we encourage open communication with parents, carers, and external safeguarding agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to child welfare. If you ever have concerns about a child’s safety, we urge you to speak with Ana or a member of our safeguarding team immediately.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we are steadfast in our commitment to protecting every child in our care.
